The goal was to create a unique and out-of-the-box logo for Dream Palki, which goes hand-in-hand with the identity design. Our creative team came together to discuss what they had in mind for Dream Palki and did not disappoint. We kept their initials D and P in mind while illustrating the logo and sketched out some designs intertwining the initials. We knew we wanted the logo spherical to resemble a wedding ring, and we envisioned the initials circling throughout.
The letters “d” and “p” were mirror images of each other, so we positioned them clockwise. The “d” turns upside down and automatically forms into a “p”. The initials woven together also symbolize the tying of the knot, which is common in Indian weddings. Besides the clockwise initials, we also added a Tikka at the center of the logo to signify good luck and prosperity to the newlyweds on their venture together. The tikka is a red dot of vermilion, or sindoor, that is applied to the forehead, which is an auspicious ritual in Hinduism.
THE JOURNEY
Preparing the perfect logo that symbolizes Indian weddings with hints of hindu and christian practices, with the circular ring and the tikka, paved the way for Dream Palki to form their identity as a renowned wedding planner. Dream Palki’s vision and goal was to create memorable days before and after the wedding ceremonies and they do that by managing all the chaos that goes before marriage to arranging all of the events and ensuring that their intricate plans turn into a smooth reality.
